The prison that your husband is going to should have a chaplain there. If not, check with the Salvation Army. They may have some resources that they can put you in touch with.

Good luck!

why is it you didnt marry during the first five years but have an urgent need to do so when he will be locked up? I have a feeling its his idea. I dont have a clue if they have a Chaplin just so inmates can get married. Probably do, I hear they have pretty much everything else. Call the jail where your fiance is living and ask them.

If all I have to do is wish you a happy honeymoon and you think Im being a smart a$$, then you are getting my point. Perhaps you should wait until you actually get one. Its part of the wedding package and youre ripping yourself off of wonderful memories. Whats the big rush?

Why not try asking at the jail. They will tell you what is allowed or not and how to go about it. Are you sure it's really what you want though or is it just an act of desperation. A marriage is supposed to be something you want to remember with joy. Perhaps you could wait for him to get out and do it right? I wish you all the best whatever you do.

I dont believe you are considering marrying a chronic criminal. You have known him 5 years and in that time you must have witnessed him commiting a crime...you have witnessed him going to county jail, and now he is on his way to jail for 5 years....what is wrong with you girl?...this man is a criminal and unless you have that same kind of mentality, this relationship is doomed to begin with. Pull yourself out of the gutter, find a man who you can at least start your married life off together. Why cant you wait until he gets out before you make a decision to marry him? This could be the worst mistake of your life...please think carefully about this....you could be destroying any chance you have at true happiness.

You do not know what you are getting your self into. You are going to regret this someday and when you do. Please look back and remember that lilshrtcke2001 told you so. I know I been there and I was with my kids dad for longer then that when all that happened. To this day he is still in and out of prison and my life was suppose to be put on hold each time he decided for the 2 of us that what he was doing was cool at the time.

Wow...a lot of things can happen during that 5 year term. Why do you need to get married now? Why not wait until after he is released?

I don't know of any services that can help you, but good luck finding one.
