I have a few issues with your observations...

1. You use and ethnic minority to justify your stance. By sheer numbers, the real problem lies with the majority group in the education system.

2. Please show me a real conservative. The so called conservatives in both houses of congress and the executive branch spent so much money on foolishness it's a crying shame.

3. No child left behind was pushed into law by both republicans AND democrats.

Should liberals stay out of education? Should conservatives stay out of education? In both cases no. Only IDIOTS should stay out of politics and there's plenty on both sides.

Democrats need to leave education to the Republicans. Many republicans feel that education would work much better if we let the students choose the school they attend. This would insure competition between schools and everyone knows that competition makes everything better. The government would give a certain amount of money to each student to spend at the school of their choice. The good schools would thrive and the bad schools would improve to survive. Democrats argue that this insults the school districts we have now and that everyone should be told what school to attend. Why do you think private schools are regarded as better than public? Because everything that the government takes over turns to crap.

Liberals should stay out of private voucher school education. There is no place for us in such an archaic way of nurturing our children.

I happen to appreciate Liberals, Conservatives and anyone else, though, who have worked so hard making the public schools that my children attend to be some of the best in the country.

I would rather have a "bunch of Carlos Mencias walking around" than a bunch of Michael Savages...

Because of George Bush's No Child Left Behind, our schools teach our children how to pass standardized tests and not how to think analytically or in the abstract.
Since this program has been in place ,the quotient of real world knowledge amongst American schoolchildren has fallen until they rank in the lowest percentile.
In science, mathematics, and comprehension,we rate below every other industrialized country.
And the gap grows wider every year Mr.Bush's program is in place.

Sounds like if you had it your way, education would only show one side of the story.
NEWS FLASH Not all children are created equal. Not all children have the opportunity for higher education. Not all children have parents who will go to bat for them. Poverty is becoming a huge issue and as most educated people know, children raised in poverty are less likely to succeed. EVERYONE in this country deserves a chance to rise to their potential.
By the way, there's this little button that says "check spelling". Try it. It doesn't take that long.

"Political correctness" became the rallying cry of the conservative critics of academia, the phrase behind which all of their enemies -- multiculturalism, affirmative action, speech codes, feminism, and tenured radicals -- could be united into a single conspiracy. The mythology of political correctness declares that conservatives are the victims of a prevailing leftist ideology in American universities, oppressed by radical students and faculty determined to brain-wash them. But the conservative attacks on these politically correct "thought police" have distorted the truth about what goes on in colleges and universities. Instead of condemning the excesses of a few extremists and abuses of due process by administrators, critics have declared that the mere presence of radical ideas has corrupted the entire system of higher education. Instead of telling the truth, the forces against political correctness have used exaggeration and distortion to create the mythology of PC, a myth that bears little resemblance to what is really happening on college campuses.

The solution is for government to stay out of the education business all together. Pay your own way.....I attended Catholic schools, like my sister mother father and my own kids..We have all come out the better for it and I wasted a lot of School taxes for the educationally challenged.
Most kids today can't structure a grammatically correct sentence, can't spell ( look at Answers) and can't make change of a dollar without a cash register telling them how much to change return. My Tax Dollars at work

The Bush administration was behind the institution of the "No Child Left Behind Act" and the entailing legislation. His administration also left it greatly underfunded, and these wars we seem to always be embroiled in take up so much already.

Turn off the Limbaugh, pay some attention to what's going on. Your government is screwing you over, dumbing down your children, and will not help unless forced to do so.

They should stay out of education. 'No child left behind" simply means that we have to teach our kids whether or not their retarded or have special needs. While we can't leave them behind, we have the kids that are learning and need their abilities to be pampered.
I'm glad I go to a school where they do have PE programs, band and choir, the school newspaper. I for one play guitar better than my friends (don't wanna brag). They all look up to me. Do they have a gifted program for rock 'n' roll mini Gods? NO THEY DON'T. They're paying more attention to the high school that just came in.
I have no idea wat I'm talking about anymore!

Ummmm... Isn't "No Child Left Behind" a Bush initiative? Therefore, what do liberals have to do with it? Dumbass. If bright children are being ignored, then you must have gotten plenty of attention.
