You don't want names that sound the same or when you shout them they will all come at once {when there older of course}.

I once named three parakeets I had Andrew, Andrea, and Angela. When Andi died, I replaced her with Anne (Andy, Angie, and Annie). That's probably a little too cutesie for kids though. I wouldn't give the kids matching names like that. Perhaps make the first letter all the same, but even then only if you plan on doing that with all the kids (both triplets and nontriplets) . That way each kid still feels like an individual and not like just part of a threesome. Sets of names with obvious connections like Charity, Mercy, and Justice or Peter, Paul, and Mary probably aren't such a good idea either, and for the same reason. (Although if I ever had triplet boys, Sonny, Michael, and Fredo might prove too hard to resist.) I like all of the above names, but I would not pick those combinations.
Peter, Pauline, Page
Caroline, Mary, and Garrett (They could be Carrie, Mary, and Gary if THEY feel like it)
Randall, Cassandra, and Amanda (same idea with Randy, Sandy, Mandy)
Erin, Emily, Evan
Vienna, Victoria, and Vince
McKenna, Madeline, Mason
Samantha, Selena, Seth
You could also make all the names really different but with some connection people would not notice at first (Austin, Vienna, Georgia (all places) or Sharon, David, and Tirsa (all Biblical)
If you aren't sure whether to do the "same letter" thing, you might want to give the boy a name that starts with the same letter as one of the girls. People are probably less likely to treat a boy and a girl triplet the same, and the other girl will not feel like an outcast if her brother and sister have similar names because she will be used to being one of "the girls." You might also want to mix the names up by having one vintage name (one that is not part of the "old name comeback" trend), one "trendy" or very unique name, and one name that is common but not so much that the child is likely to be one of three in his class. Here are a few examples:
Joan, Emma, and Jarrod
Grace, Alicia, and Grant
Sarah, Belle and Solomon
Gina, Danielle, and George
Jessica, Cayla and Jasper
Bridget, Haley, and Benjamin
Ashley, Pauline, and Ari
Nicolleta, Eve, Nathan
