they are a really good band from Berekely, California.
they have released 10 (counting IS and Bullet in the Bible) albums over their 17 year career. They used to be called Sweet Children until they changed their name in 1991.
Lead Vocalist/guitar: Billie Joe Armstrong
Bass/Back-up vocals: Mike Dirnt (real name is Michael Pritchard)
Drums/occasional vocals: Tre` Cool (real name is Frank Wright III)

Green Day is a band. Google them, they have good music. The reason ppl r rude, is because they think that everyone knows about the band, when they don't.

It could possibily be that you have asked the question so rudely. And your name is quite rude also. Green day is trying to make the earth a more environmently friendly place;using recycled things, using less gas, etc.
