We keep the laws a secret??? Now, just how do we do that? If you make the choice to get married, it's YOUR responsibility to research what you are getting yourself into. Take responsibility for your own actions and don't blame the women.

First all men should know about alimony and child support.Second hire a lawyer who will fight for you own this subject. Third the child support law is a good one, it took both of you to have the children and you need to keep in touch with them and help support them., Why did you not ask for the children and have her pay you alimony and children support? Did you think that because you ended in a divorce that your responsibility ended their?

Someone is bitter today.

Really, this could go BOTH ways, and I hardly think that you would be sleeping under a bridge, unless it was a personal choice.

That said, a court CANNOT take ALL of your salary for child support and alimony. They WILL leave you with something to live on.

I have to comment on something you said.
I think it is rediculous for men or woman, to have to pay their spouse support to keep them in the lifestyle they are accustomed to. Is that why people get married? Simply to create a lifestyle? No to be with the other person. When it doesn't work out whoever made the most money has to pay the other person enough money to keep the lifestyle going. It's rediculous. If you want to keep your lifestyle then get a f*cking job like the rest of us.

Coming from a woman, I fully agree with you. Women have it way to easy and I believe that half of them, if not more of them, marry knowing that "oh well, if it doesn't work out, I'll bleed him to death and live high on the hog". I am divorced and have never asked for any settlements or cash "bonus" from my ex. We all have to work to maintain our life styles and eat etc. If I had the power, you can believe I would change the "VULTURE" laws to allow the man to keep the money he works hard to earn and make the "VULTURE" fend for herself as she had to before the man came along. Sorry to hear another "VULTURE" has swooned down on your life.

I feel for you but I cannot reach. Equality and law may not be in sync. but if you can type that message you could have looked before you leaped. You chose to be a victim.
