I have a ring about 2cm in diameter, with 10 karat gold filling (10kt G.F.) and sterling on the outside (92.5% silver, and the rest is of some other metals). The gold part is about 1mm thick and the sterling 2mm. I don't know the age, sorry. It also has a preaty nice outline on the ouside. The ingraving read "10kt G.F.&sterling".

10k gold filling means it is plated. As in, only the finish is gold. 925 is the stamp for sterling silver. Chances are it is a sterling silver ring that is plated with gold at least in part. The only way to know for sure is to take it in to a professional.

Gold fill is better than gold plate. Gold fill by law has to be a certain % of gold, while gold plate is just whisp of color on the outside.
It probably isn't worth all that much unless it was done by a really good or popular designer.
Just enjoy it.

It's hard to say with out actually seeing the ring. I would guess about 35-40 dollars. Just a guess.

You honestly should take it to a jeweler for an appraisal. There is no way a person could tell you sight unseen.
