Why don't they respect our military? I'm a liberal and I will always support the troops.

Amen! You are probably the only liberal with common sense on this entire site!
Whether its the vehement opposing of Bush trying to make Michael Hayden the head of the CIA, or John Murtha saying our troops "killed innocent civilians in cold blood," or John Kerry saying that our troops "terrorized Iraqis in the dead of the night," liberals hate the military! And they hate the military because it defends America from crazy terrorist demons!

I don't think people hate our military. Also, it's ignorant that people think because you don't support the war it means you don't support our troops. I support our troops, yet don't want any more to die because our President doesn't have a plan to finish what he's started. If what he's doing is so right, why doesn't he send his daughters over there to defend our country? The answer is because he doesn't want them to die. Also, the President has created this by twisting his words to make the Dems look bad. He is the one saying that Democrats don't support the troops when it is really the war we are against, not our troops. Just another way our President has twisted words to gain support.

The ones who I see hating the military the most seem to be anarchical people in society. They hate what the military is and represents which is a strict authoritarian organization. Mainly it is people who do not like being told what to do and think no one has the right to tell others what to do either.

Some people who never was in the military will only put it down. That might have worked a little back in the days of Nam (but not really) but today it's all a volunteer basis and they have no room to complain about what one person does for his country.

ashamed of their selves for being Uneducated, Unpatriotic and cowardly and take their shame and cowardliness out on the military
and yet their very right to disrespect and hate the military is protected by the military
Maybe better for them to go away to country more to their liking
