Ugly Betty is a popular show because it is new and has great story-lines. It is appealing to people because it teaches girls they can be smart, successful, and comfortable with themselves instead of looking like a thin typical model. It deals with real issues and it touch upon morals and value. It is just a great show unlike American Next Top model or reality TV shows that is on most of the time.

because she is not like a top model show it is something that some girls can understand u dont have to be a supermodel to make it in this world.because beauty is only skin deep and if u dont have heart what do u have besides looks they can go away with age

I really like the show - I just think it could be even better as a half hour show - just a bit too long and drawn out to me.

and her job
And the guy's lover is alive even though she has a huge tomb somewhere in new york
her boss's mysterious phone call
people like to see character's struggle
and hope the character finds a resolution
