be friends because you feel sorry for things not working out? Is it or is it not a better route to take than just hating eachother?

You can't be friends if you don't have respect and honesty.

Being friends isn't a good idea. You shouldn't have to continually tell someone that you don't want to talk to them. You shouldn't be freinds with them because you feel sorry about the way things turned out. It sounds like they still want you and if you befriend them they will keep at it till you do hate each other.

If u have told them u don't want to talk to them and they keep trying. Then u need to cut all ties. The reason is they think u don't mean what u are saying. No matter how many times u say it.They still think they have a chance of getting back together. Good luck

Times, till you realize your sympathized will bring to an opening of a new friendship.
Well, guess what? I used to be flamed to hate this girl but i ended up sticking my life unto her. (and now i-could-not-live-without her).I did surprised others, lots of others.
Still, we fight each other 24/7...
I'm still her biggest fan.
It is a better route, you should hit it.

Be open and honest and tell them why you are ending the friendship. Don't waste the energy hating them, but it is ok to dissolve a relationship that is harmful to you.
You can't choose your family, BUT you can choose your friends!

There has to be a medium ground somewhere.
If you're sure you don't want them in your life at ALL anymore, only you can make that happen...
Don't look for reasons or excuses to hate anybody.

If the relation went sour, there is no reason to put forth any effort. You wanna move on...just do it. There is no reason to hate someone, but if it's forced it's not real and you should just move on.

You should only have to say it once. If ur through then u know ur through. prolonging it is only gonna make it more painful for them to get over. remember outta sight outta mind
