My husband is a good example of someone changing and going on to have a real good second marriage. But it was due to him growing up, seeking what he really wanted and just an overall change within himself.

If he learned from his mistakes then he will be a better husband for it. If he thinks he did nothing wrong in the first marriage, then there would probably be no change. He's also going to be married to a different person, so he might be different based on that. Ask him what mistakes he made the first time around and what he would have done differently if given the opportunity. Keep the conversation in the past tense to get a more heartfelt and thought out response.

Just because the first marriage didn't work out for any number of reasons doesn't mean that he couldn't have met the one and is happy with her this go around. Not everyone is perfect and especially when it comes to marriage and emotions. He should be able to be happy but I don't know more about the first marriage and how he mistreated her, I mean if they were married because of a child then I can see resentment and such.

I believe that the person that you are with brings out the best in you or the worst in you. There are different people involved in the second marriage and, he might have learned a few things from the first marriage. There's hope!

It just depends on what is acceptable to the second wife. My ex's current wife was one he was sleeping with while married to me (he was also sleeping with someone else and the current knew about it). She also knew he spent more time at work (up to 18 hours a day) than with family. If that's okay with her, then it could be better the second time around. But you know what they say..."What comes around goes around".

It all depends on who he is NOW.

People can (and do) change all the time. EVERYONE deserves a second chance, and maybe he may be able to find something in his new love that will want him to make these changes in himself.

Common sense will tell you that a tiger can't change his stripes. Unless you are a magician or have a direct line to God to miraculously change him why would you think he would change?

not necessarily
my father was a very bad husband with my mom, but he remarried and he insults the other wife he has but she tolerates him
so it depends to whom they remarry
