To explore and know more and more about little and little may be called as Research!
In our society we have various fields of arts and science, technology medicine etc., in which many a highly educated people are constantly conducting research with devotion.
And thus when they succeed in their “research” they will be awarding PhDs!
These are all worldly appreciations.
But actually speaking what is the actual purpose of our all these researches? Where are we going? How far we have progressed in our global research? Did we actually achieve any thing? When and whom we should call a Real Doctor of Philosophy that has achieved the Goal in his Research?
If we analyze all these matters and conduct a Research on all these Researches deeply we can understand that there is actually only One Research that is being carried out constantly by each and every human being born on the earth. What is that?

The final requirement of a Ph.D. is to write a dissertation, which is an original work that advances the state of the field. The requirements differ depending on the field and university. Some people have large research goals and want to make large advances in their field. Other use an incremental approach to make changes. What might be considered "research" in chemistry or medicine might be different in the arts or social sciences.

I am not really sure about the purpose of your question. It's either rambling from someone who discounts Ph.D.s or you are trying to get someone else to answer your college philosophy question.

Wow. What could that ABSOLUTE One Research be, I wonder? I'm quite sure I don't want to be included in your "..each & every human being born on the earth." Really. Quite presumptuous of you! Yet, it's transparent that you have a personal beef, so I won't spend further time helping you; your mind is closed. Jerry P said it all. But that isn't the answer you wanted, IS IT? (I used caps to get your attention since it seems lacking.) I wonder why you didn't go to R&S. This isn't an appropriate question for Philosophy.

The day we identify ourselves to the last day, we operate in a limited mode with ignorance. There is an inherent insecurity built into the our system. All our search is to root out this insecurity. We take the refuge of knowledge, power, position status, relationship...

None of the external agency can give us satisfaction so our search continues.

But unfortunately, no external agency can root out the insecurity but the knowledge of the absolute self...

Our search has not started till we are seeking for the absolute truth or self. Hence our search continues...

Search ends in fulfillment, Research ceases to be. This can happen when one realizes the absolute self.

You lack a fundamental understanding of science.

Science has no expectation of, and no built-in assumption of, any "ultimate" understanding. Instead, science moves forward on the basis of hypothesis, testing by objective observation, and reformulation of hypothesis in a never-ending, forward-moving, process of evolving knowledge and understanding. Since the universe is always changing, science will never be "done". Thus it is meaningless to speak of "ultimate goal" for science.

If you are setting up a strawman for Christian apologetics, you have done a woefully inadequate job.

Research is being done to make our life more comfortable and meaningful. There is no ultimatum. What we have now is the result of research done by our ancestors The comfort level of our life after a couple of centuary will be beyond our dream. So it is a continuous process.

what we basically are searching for is a boost-full sentence(dedicated to us) from every body we meet further by trying to perform in a way which could be recognised as a positive effort.

We strive to understand the entirety of creation. Doc Smith coined a word for it - "cosmic all". It was his contention that man should seek to deduce the entirety of creation from one small fact. "To visualize the cosmic all".
