Yes he is responsible for Islamic extremism in Iraq. You make a good point maybe he needs to get sent to Guantanamo

Let's just put it this way, he hasn't done anything to abate the cause of Islamic extremism throughout the world. Attacking Iraq, instead of concentrating on the real nest of Islamic extremists was probably the worst tactical error in U.S. military history. I'm sure that it hasn't escaped the notice of many observers that though all of the military activities of the U.S. were essentially wrapped up within four years after it entered the conflict of WWII, very little progress has been made in the so-called War on Terrorism, and we are already four years into this conflict. In the end Dubya will learn that the American people want no part of his perpetual war machine. The army is already awakening to the fact that they can't sustain the troop levels in Iraq and Afghanistan indefinitely without a draft, and the American people will never stand for that option to support Dubya's bogus efforts in Iraq. I predict that American troops will be out of Iraq by the end of this year and Dubya will have to face the wrath of the public and of a Congress who are no longer rubber-stampers.

Of all the hot spots in the middle east, Iraq was the least of our worries. It was not until AFTER the invasion did the extremists begin their campaign against US troops in Iraq.

The be-headings, car bombs and senseless executions were not tolerated by the Baath party (although they carried out some horrors of their own). That lunacy started after Bush committed our troops to toppling the Iraqi government.

At this point in the game about the same number or more innocent Iraqi's have been killed that were during the entire time Saddam was in power! Did the us kill all of them? No! did we cause the rise in innocents being killed because of the US presence in Iraq? Quite possibly.

Does that make President Bush our chief enemy in the war on terror? I'm not touching that one. You could be CIA!

Though I can't stand Bush and feel he needs some prison time, he is not responsible for Islamic extremism in Iraq. The Iraqi militant Islamic leaders who twist the teachings of Islam are fully responsible for that. Those are the real enemy to the middle eastern people. It is up to the Iraqi people and the Middle eastern nations in general to get these radicals under control.

Much as I'd like to blame things on Bush, I can't honestly say he's "responsible" for the rise of Islamic extremism in Iraq. Only the extremists IN Iraq are "responsible" for it.

His policies have, however, given those who wish to incite more Muslims to extremism powerful ammunition to use in recruiting new followers. And he's certainly done nothing to *combat* the rise of Islamic extremism. So he's helped its rise, but he's not responsible.

What's really responsible, even more so than the extremist leaders, is ignorance. When you can convince ignorant people that every American is evil, that blowing yourself up is a good idea, and that by so doing you'll receive a glorious afterlife with a bevy of virgins at your beck and call...you've taken advantage of the ignorance of people who'd believe such nonsense, and be willing to give their lives for it.

we are able to no longer merchandise our nature. The lukewarm reaction you sense is with the help of the fact Hindus are divided. A single wave ought to alter the region; yet Hindus could never choose to threaten the delinquent faith yet to love and admire the alternative opinion. We Hindus have faith that the Sufi beginning place of Islam will take Muslims on real song. yet while Muslims persevering with behave like ‘terror loving non secular human beings’; then they their self will unfastened their stand in India and the wave, i discussed above will smash them.

Iran has hated us since 1979 so I think Jimmy Carter was responsible for that. Hatred for the Jewish State predated 1948 so Truman was responsible for that. The Arab States teach their children to hate America as do your teachers, so the answer is no, we have been hated for a lot longer than George has been president. Did not read your history books much did ya?

Bush is diirectly responsible for Islamist militancy in Iraq in two ways.

One is that Bush pulled the cork (Saddamn) out of the bottle that contained most of the sectarian and tribal rivalries that have wrought havoc across Iraq.

The other is that Islamist militants from Morocco to France to Afghanistan to Indonesia are flocking to Iraq for a piece of one of our convoys.

If we hadn't invaded, Iraq would today have no real trouble with Islamist militants. They'd have one prick of a secular dictator, but no Al-Qaeda.

You gotta ask yourself; which is the preferable Devil, the one you know or the one you don't?

Islamic extremism was there before Bush, but US foreign policy under his watch has greatly helped fuel it.
