No. Besides the fact that the turtle will eat the fish. Turtles need a different set up than a fish. An aquarium set up for a fish will not be good for a turtle. Turtles need a place to get out of the water completely to bask. They also need special heating and lighting to help them digest their food. Not to mention they are very messy. They need a very powerful water filter because they eat and defecate in th water. Here is a great website where you can read up on proper turtle care. http://www.austinsturtlepage.com

Its very okay. As long as the turtle is fed well, it shouldn't go after the fish. If it learns it can get food by getting onto a platform and grabbing it(I trained mine to crawl to his basking spot so the fish dont eat his food) then he should realize that chasing fish is a thing of the past. I keep my 3 inch western painted in a 55gal tank with 5 silverdollars, 6 neon tetras(who are a favorite food when Hachi isn't fed), 3 rainbow sharks, 3 mollies, and a ton of ghost shrimp... and two goldfish for cleaning.

So far the only fish that ever went missing are tetras and guppies, which I bought for him anyway..... He leaves fish that are too big to fit completely in his mouth alone. This may not apply to all turtles... But it applies to Hachi....

So go ahead, but he may eat them. If not, you're like me, you have a 'good' turtle. lol

As long as there is a good basking spot or two(I have a turtle dock and a piece of driftwood, he prefers the driftwood, but dives off the dock all the time, also the dok is where I put his food.

Yes, actually they are a very good source of nutrition and variety for the turtle. My red ear slider is 3 and is the size of a dinner plate. She is happy and healthy. Be prepared to invest a sizable amount of money on the turtle's habitat and food.
