Ball Pythons are not sexually dimorphic, in other words you can't tell just by looking at them. Male Balls are usually smaller than females, but not always.
The most common and accurate methods are "Popping" and "Probing". Both methods are used to check for the male hemi-penes (the male sexual organ). In popping, pressure is applied at the tail and behind the cloaca to evert the hemipenes or scent glands of the female. This is by far the most accurate method because you can easily tell one from the other if done properly. Popping is usually done on newborn snakes, but can be done on older snakes if the person doing the procedure is experienced and depending on the snake.
Probing is a more common method, although not as accurate. With probing, a metal probe is inserted into the cloaca towards the tail and the distance the probe is inserted will usually tell the sex of the snake. Males typically probe deeper as the probe is inserted into a hemipene, and females will typically probe more shallow. The distance is measured in scales, and it depends on the species of snake. Probing is probably at least 97% accurate.
Both procedures should only be performed by an experienced person such as a vet or breeder. If done improperly, you can damage the snake which can potentially be fatal.

Generally male pythons have longer / larger spurs than females and can also be visually sex checked by the shape of the tail, the female has a shorter and broader tail than the male. Ball Pythons are somewhat difficult to sex do to the lack of tail length. For 100% sexing accuracy, probing will give the correct answer ( I personally do not like this method because it can cause internal damage if not done properly).

woman ball pythons are extra advantageous usually than male ball pythons. I particularly have nevertheless considered some very great male specimens. Feed Flapjack each and every 5-7 days. each and every 5 days may well be suited for now because of the fact he's youthful and starting to be. you are able to grant him nutrition on 8/30. as quickly as he will become a juvenile, you are able to stretch his feedings to 7 days in case you prefer. it particularly is sturdy to have your BP examined by a vet. you are able to start to grant your BP frozen/thawed nutrition. on occasion the stay nutrition can combat lower back and bite so, frozen/thawed nutrition will shield your snake from this probability. there's a technique pronounced as probing. This technique can become attentive to the gender of your snake and would in basic terms be carried out by a professional. some human beings count on the size of a BP's tail base or, the size of their spurs placed close to their vents to grant clues on determining gender yet, those techniques are actually not constantly precise. learn as much as you are able to approximately this species. know it particularly is organic background and use this information at the same time with it particularly is captive care standards. constantly bear in suggestions which you're protecting a puppy snake and not a canines or a cat. some human beings over cope with their timid ball pythons to dying. cope with thrice each and every week for type of quarter-hour each and each consultation. Ball pythons prefer their deepest time. it particularly is rather considerable to this shy and secretive snake. Ball pythons are evening owl snakes so the will frequently close down and relax in the process the day. because of the fact they're for sure like this, evening feedings and dealing with are cautioned.

look at the end of the tail, there is a large scale that covers the butt. there are little "claws" on the sides that are called spurs. they are what scientists believe to be marks of evolution. if they are big, it is most likely a male, if they are small its a female. if you cant determine try taking it to a snake expert or someone familiar with pythons and boas. hoe i could help =)

Yes you can tell, females have longer skinnier tails (their tails are from the vent to the tip) Males have shorter more stubby tails. Also males heads tend to be smaller, but you can't tell that unless they are adults. And males have longer anal spurs than females as well. Yeah some people think this isn't true but I haven't been wrong yet :)

Some snakes can be sexed by just looking at them, but some cannot. Here is a web site that talks about sexing pythons.
