The husband is the primary breadwinner, therefore the woman is 'oppressed'

This is complete rubbish, since women control most of the wealth anyway (83%). Plus, if the male works for the benefit of his wife and children, isn't he the one oppressed. It's like saying that black slaves who toiled for the benefit of their master's were actually oppressing their masters.

'patriarchy' is jsut a buzz-word used by feminists to hide their sexist statements. There is no big conspiracy to 'keep women in their place'

Patriarchy operates through the (sadly moronic) assertion that the husband/father figure is the authority of the home. It operates through a female submission to/dependance upon the father/husband. Supposedly, there's a Christian doctrine that relegates men to positions of authority and women to submission to the men ... stuff like that is how patriarchy operates. Male dominance solely perpetuated by maleness... Idiotic rot!

according to feminists, patriarchy might exist as most children adopt their fathers' name or the dominating male and it is still largely expected that men are the dominating partners in marriages and women expected to be passive even if the women are career women

I am not a feminist and personally think it is a boogieword to lobby for this and that, but to answer your question the claim women do is, that in a patriarchy the wife is dependant upon the mens income and therefore has to do his bidding. The problem was solved when women were given the opportunity to work, however not beeing content with that women lobbied for laws that reversed the situation in a classic marriage with the classic roles, putting men off marriage, which might be their initial goal since feminists see the destruction of marriage as the only way to liberate women.
