Is it safe to use hair removal creams on my legs during pregnancy? I used to use Veet, but haven't since I became pregnant. I looked on the back of the bottle and it didn't say anything about avoiding it during pregnancy so I wasn't sure. Now that my belly's getting a little bigger and harder to work around, I'd rather use something (other than waxing) that lasts longer than regular shaving.

The only reason why I don't want to try waxing is because I get my eyebrows waxed and that hurts enough for such a tiny bit of hair! I'm afraid of what it's like to do a whole leg!

I wouldn't be able to use it, based solely on the fact that is smells strange and that would make me sick. But as far as being safe, I haven't been able to find anything that says it not. If you are comfortable with it, and can handle the scent, go for it. Another option is waxing. The increased blood during pregnancy, will make you a little more sensitive, but it's worth the short discomfort.

I have been using all different types of these products since I have been pregnant, and my doctor says everything is fine. Just make sure when using the creams that you use them in a well ventilated room, because sometimes they can really smell strongly. I agree waxing does hurt. But it does work soooo much better than the creams and trust me, it hurts a lot less than labour, so maybe it would prepare you for the pain. Haha

I can't answer this question but I will tell you that I did wax up until a week before delivering both my children.

Waxing lasts for about 4 - 6 weeks and in my mind the pain is worth the amount of time I remain hairless.

Good luck finding something. Check out a list of their ingreidents on their webite and then ask your physican. Use the parent companies site to check for product info. it should be on the back of the bottle. Any chemical (Veet is one) will be absorbed through the blood stream and thus reach your baby via you.

Congrats! At least it's not summer yet.LOL

I dont know, but you should call your doctor about it. If you absorb the chemicals it probably isnt good for the baby. Waxing is almost pain less and lastes longer. If you get someone to do it for you it hurts even less, they are trained to be gentle. You could hire your bf or hubby to shave em.

i in my view does no longer threat it, and that i'm keeping off to end my final 2 laser hair remedies until I provide delivery. It would not harm to attend. The hair is unlikely everywhere! Plus, i've got study that the hormones of being pregnant in many situations has a tendency to spur dark hair to enhance the place it won't. So I determine i visit get extra out of the scientific care if I wait and might get rid of those hairs besides. i could additionally be afflicted related to the protection of the prescription numbing creams they use previous to the technique. those creams do get absorbed into your dermis, your bloodstream, and into the unborn fetus. i does no longer choose to subject my toddler to that.
