first of all would be the Taj Mahal & so many other such heritage sites which are not there anywhere else in the world. the number of languages we find here is also unique. inspite of all the drawbacks still India is progressing & has really made a mark in the world map. the north, east, west & south of India are so different from each other in all respects but still there is so much of similarity like the warmth & simplicity in the people.

People - they are friendly towards foreigners, and has a craze for anything foreign - more than anywhere in the world. They prefer "foreign goods" more than their own, and it is a "prestige" to be a "foreign return". I find it cheap, but you may find it amusing, but it is one of the most "unique" traits in indians.
And there are certain goods things about them, too , they have a strong bonding towards family, and they do not drive out their children once they attain majority - which is a practice among westerners and most animals. They stand in support of their family, and It is a duty of the son to support their father and mother in old age- which I am quite proud of.

I lived in India for a few months. At one point i became really sick, and had to go to the hospital, what i found really interesting was that all I had to do was give them my name and age. thats it! nothing else! I was in, free to seek medical attention, get shots, IV bags, pills, anything! I dont know if you find that crazy but i did, being an american and all.
