Every post on this board regarding Black culture says something negative about Black women/girls--and all of the "experts" are non-black women. Black people in general are the most studied group in America. Why do people care so much about us? Can't we be left the hell alone?

Good question. I guess people cant get over the fact that the black woman has the healthiest self esteem and doesn't give a damn about others perception of her :)

But what can I say.... We do inspire a lot of hate on YA ( not necessarily in the real world) and guess what??? we DON'T GIVE A DAMN!!! :o)

booyah! LOL!

No, whites and asians and arabians are proud of their women. Do the adult men bash the seems or the personalities? Black American lifestyle is strictly how they portray it on the television. i'm no longer even kidding. that's why I moved to Canada from the states (MI). And ninety 9% of the black chicks i understand are all fairly comparable personalitywise. yet in Canada, they are somewhat docile, its a superb substitute. I stay in western BC now.

If you believe that Africa was the cradle of all civilization, and that the matriarchal strength of the women as mothers and wives is the key to understanding social stability, while the genocide against the tribal nations shows how this spiritual strength is broken, then the ills of all humanity and the steps to heal and restore it can be understood by studying the African spiritual lineage, in relation to the European and Asian and other cultures.

The wars, disease and destruction plaguing Africa to this day dates back to spiritual disruption and curses that have yet to be healed. That is why the vicious cycle continues. And it has poured over into the African American community here in the U.S. for study and research. In order to repair the political and economic problems, there must be spiritual reparations first, where the family and spiritual lineage is restored where it was broken by slavery and other genocidal destruction still happening today. So there is much work to be done to study and find solutions.

THEY WANT TO BE US. Ether that or are jealous of our exotic looks. No other group of women have the looks of black women. White women most all look the same. So do asian women. Black women all look differnt with a beautiful body shape that no other race has. THEY ARE JEALOUS. FORGET EM!

Tons of negative stereotypes perpetuated in the media. Black women are constantly portrayed as bitchy, "sassy", rude, cranky and bad-tempered.

For people who have little/no contact with ACTUAL black women on a day to day basis, these are the images they use to make judgments.

People always want what they can't have. Some want tans, bigger and rounder butts, thicker lips, soul. They pick on what they want the most. For example: I want to have sex with you so bad that I'm embarassed to tell my family so I'll just pretend to hate you, then when no one's home I'll watch BET and watch the video girls. That's what I think they say.

Amen to that. I used to get so angry but I realized that it's just jealousy. We are very interesting and intriguing to them.
