Get some waxed dental floss(about 2 feet of floss). Thread it under your ring and pull about 8 inches of floss towards your arm and leave it there. Then with the other end of the floss wrap it around and around your finger from the ring to the nail. Wrap it really tight. It will squeeze the finger and take the swelling away. then with the 8 inches of floss (on the other side of the ring towards your wrist) that is left, you pull on it. then the ring should come off as you pull the floss. I hope this made sense. I have done this and it works every time. You might need help with this and have someone hold the end of floss at your finger tip while you pull the other end.

DON'T PANIC! Relax and get an oily substance and lubricate your finger. Lotion or vaseline will do just fine. Oh, I almost forgot. WD40 will release anything. I swear by the stuff. In a continuous left-right twisting motion twist the ring outward toward the knuckle until it comes off freely. Do not pull or yank on the ring and don't stretch the skin. And it is time for you to lose some weight! Either that or have the ring re-sized.

If your finger is swollen, put an ice bag or a bag of frozen veggies on the top of your hand for a while. Try lubricating your finger with a lot of Vaseline & gently twist the ring as you are pulling it off. If that doesn't work, you may have to go to the ER to have it removed. Don't panic, as it'll make matters worse. Good luck!!!

I once used embroidery thread to get a ring off when my finger swelled. Try this: use thread. Get a piece of thread about a foot long. Get it pushed under your ring toward the palm of your hand. Wrap the thread snugly around your finger, starting at just above the ring, wrapping it snugly toward your first knuckle. Grasp the thread in your palm and start pulling it. As the thread unwraps, the ring will come off. It is magic!!!

some adult men placed on a diverse ring (like, say a college ring) on the middle finger of their left hand quite than placed on it on the hoop finger of their accurate hand. this can properly be because they artwork with their accurate hand plenty and do not opt for to get the hoop stuck in equipment. BTW, are you certain this is his wedding ceremony ring?

Try elevating your hand for awhile, then wrapping your finger from tip down fairly snug with ribbon or something similar to reduce swelling. Keep your hand up for 30 minutes or so. Don't do it so tight you loose circulation, though! Then try lotion or something similar to ease it off. If that doesn't work, and it's still too tight, you can go to a jewler that'll snip it off, then you can get it fixed.

If you have some sort of moisture conditioner that's really slick rub that around it and try to get some under it, then wiggle gently. I've also had good results using Crisco or olive oil. Good luck!

If you have taken a diretec to relieve the fluid and have soaked it in cold water to get the swelling down then the only other way is to have it cut off at the jewlers.

have you used soap? One thing I did was suck on my finger and made it slippery and pulled it off that way, just be careful obviously not to swallow it. My guess though, is that these are things you have tried already.
