howya doin? firstly can i add that the best bass players in the buissness are people who started on acoustic(flea+stuart hamm) this is mainly because the strings on a acoustic are generally thicker and strumming techniques of the bass and acoustic are the same so if i was in your shoes i would suggest to the acoustic player to possibly take up bass! it would be possible for the person to go on electric asswell but you really cant have a 2guitar band without a bass (especailly if you have a keyboarder in the band) for a band name i would suggest something like..velvet push or velvet stones or even this is the best awnser!! hope this helps!

If the two guitars sound terrible together, it's not the fact that one is electric and one is acoustic, because electric and acoustic work extremely well together.

Try making sure that you are precisely in tune with each other, and playing in time with each other.

Name of the band would depend on the music you're playing, the band member's personalities, a lot of factors.

have the acoustic player switch to electric, if he cant then just have the acoustic and electric play at different times or if you have the electric run over the chord the acoustics playing it sounds pretty good. listen to mother by pink floyd and it could give you some ideas. as for a name think of something that happend to you guys or an inside joke you have, just dont try to hard

electric guitar would probably be more practical for gigs, but it would depend on wat music u guys like, if u like a lot of acoustic stuff then use acoustic, not many bands do that nowadays and it could really make u stand out.

as for names, i heard R.E.M. got their name by randomly flickin through a dictionary. Most band names are so wierd that it probably won't matter what u pick anyway

Dual electric guitars sounds good if you know how to play well. Lots of bands have a rhythm guitarist and a lead guitarist. Try it.
I'm terrible at picking band names, so I'll spare you.
