Well, i'm going there in a week or so, and I don't know what to wear. I mean, is it just a theme park where you really don't need a bathing suit? Should I wear jeans/ shorts (depending on the weather) with a t-shirt? I've never been, and so I'm not sure how it is there...

One section of the park is a water-park area with water slides and a wave pool. If you plan to do that, then obviously you will need to go prepared for the water. Lockers and bathrooms are available for changing and storing your clothes. You will also find a log ride and river ride that has a primary goal of getting you wet.

At the shows, there is a section called the "Splash Zone" that is clearly marked. This is where the splash from the whales and dolphins usually lands. The water in the splash zone is ice cold and salty and a favorite for the kids. It can be a lot of fun and is part of the Sea World experience, but it can be uncomfortable wearing wet salty clothes the rest of the day if you are not prepared.

If you are going to be here for a day and want to take it all in, I would recommend wearing jeans/shorts and a t-shirt and some very comfortable shoes for walking. Bring a swim suit and watersport sandals to change into in the afternoon, just in case. I would also recommend bringing another change of clothes, again, just in case.

Keep all your extras in the trunk. You can always come back out to the car if necessary to pick up something you need or maybe a quick change. You might have to walk 100-200 yards back to the car, but it's not unbearable. Bring some sunscreen. If you are on the thrifty side, you can also keep a cooler in the trunk. Prices inside the park are very similar to movie theater prices. Since the whole experience can take up a full day, we have been known to pack a lunch and have a "picnic" in the parking lot.

Don't buy your tickets too far in advance (if at all) since the weather is unpredictable this time of year. There are no refunds given for bad weather and $50 for a cold rainy day at Sea World is not much fun.

Try to get there early in the day if possible. The shows are the main attraction and you may have to miss some due to overlapping showtimes if you don't get there early and schedule your day's itenerary. The rest of the park is like a zoo and you can come and go at your leisure. The schedules are on the back of the map you receive when you get there. They may have the schedules online, but I seem to recall being disappointed a couple of times because the actual schedule was different than the online schedule. There are also feeding times for the dolphins and sea lions where you can buy fish and feed them. I love the dolphins and enjoy feeding them. It is really the only time you can pet them. If you feed the sea lions, try throwing the fish a few feet to the left or right. It's amazing how quick and agile they are.

If you go to a show with the beluga whales, I highly recommend going down front after the show. They usually let the whales swim around for a little while before putting them up. They are very curious and will usually come up to the glass to get a better look. Be careful though, they are a little playful and have been known to splash water on us to see our reaction. The trainers are usually nearby and are happy to be in a snapshot with you.

Hope this helps. Good luck and have fun!

Sea World is a theme park, but it's not a WATER-theme park, so you do not need a bathing suit. You probably will get wet during the Shamu show (or plan on not sitting in the first few front rows if you want to stay dry), but you won't get so wet you'll need to change clothes. Now, if you plan on going to Wet N Wild or one of the Disney water-theme parks afterward, you'll need a bathing suit and a towel.
Check the weather for Orlando before you go. I recommend shorts and short sleeved shirts, and very comfortable shoes.

Hi, I don't know if you live in FL or not but right now, it is a bit chilly. Its not cold but in March, you never know if it'll be swimsuit weather or light jacket weather! Additionally, when you see Shamu and the dolphins, you may get wet. So, I would suggest a tank top (with sunscreen, of course!), shorts that dry quickly like board shorts but bring something to wear in case it rains or is unseasonably chilly. Lastly, have fun!

Well, most of the time you will be walking and sitting. So comfortable shoes and shorts and a tee. There are a few rides where you will get wet but you will dry off in no time. You could take extra flip flops if you don't want your feet to get too hot. There's plenty of places to sit and cool off, change or whatever. Don't sit too close to the shows! You will definatly get wet! You might want to take a rain coat!! lol
HAVE FUN!

Definetly bring your swimsuit! There is a huge waterpark there. Wear shorts, but bring a hoodie or a sweat shirt, in case it gets chilly in the late afternoon.

Just wear casual clothing --take a swimsuit for pools at places-but just watch dolphins jump and such so u just need shorts or jeans and sport shirt.

Well, if you are going to get splashed by Shamu, I suggest you wear a bra.
