blood donation is a basic human thing...and there is no money involved in it.

You can't earn money for donating blood but you can from donating plasma. Plasma is the yellow liquid part of your blood. You can donate plasma alot more frequently than whole blood because the plasma is separated from the red and white blood cells and then those cells are returned to you. However you are still limited to how many times you could give. The place I used to donate would only allow a person to donate twice in a week. The first time earning you $20 and the second earning $30. So, depending on how often I went I could earn $200 in a month. It's great if you need cash every now and then but if you do it too much it can take it's toll (make you tired, dizzy, nauseous). But it goes away shortly. The link below is for the place that I used to donate through. You can get more info or find a center in your area.

I haven't heard of anyone getting paid for their blood. However, I do know that you can get paid for plasma. I have seen it in the paper, you can do some research on it.

But if you are just looking for some extra cash, I wouldn't suggest it because I know it wasn't enough to make even me do it lol.
