Yes, I feel the same way. I have placed two large bins outside near my driveway. Each morning (or every other morning depending on the amount of trash) I take a bag out as I leave for work. Come trash collection day, all I have to do is roll the bins to the edge of my drive as I am leaving for work. This eliminates the feeling of extra trips to take it out and doesn't make it time consuming.

There are lots of jobs we hate. Yet they have to be done. I dont have a problem with it because ours are on wheels. You just wheel it to the curb and the truck has arms on it that pick it up and dump it. Since that has been instituted there is a lot less garbage left on the street. The reason it has a hinged lid and crows and dogs cant get at it.

I only have to open the front door and I still hate it. I have designated it a blue job therefore as i'm a woman I never have to empty the bins again

Yeah it is, and my rubbish chute is less than 10 yards away. My flatmate does it. That's his job.
We hate it because we are compelled to hang on to stuff and hoard it, it's human nature.

I don't mind it. I do it the evening before, and it gives me a chance to stand in the driveway and look at the stars.
