i have an mp4 player also,what you need to do is go to www.Limewire.com . all of their music is FREE! but you need to download it.There is a thing that says "download" click on that and you will have almost every song,music video,pictures,and even Movies,they have a wide genra of movies 2 chose from too!i love limewire it is so cool!you dont get spam,and i dont think you have to convert them to another format which is AWESOME

every answer above is borderline illegal, be careful your isp doesn't catch you, or you'll lose your internet connection with them, and also the RIAA are out to get people using the above sofware - so you could end up with a law suit.
www.mp3.com is a site where artists upload demo tracks, they can sumtimes upload complete albums, so try there, and they are all royalty free so you can listne to them legally, but they won't be by any bands you know, cause thats why they r there to start with, recognition.

I have the same trouble! although im not allowed limewire because of the hackers and spywear.

you can download them using ARES, wich you can get from www.softonic.com, ares is a free program that allows you to download free music from another ares users, so be aware that you are entitled to share the music you have stored in your computer
when downloaded the music you've got to convert them to mp4 as they are actually mp3.
tip: don't get ares gold, this version will send you alot of ads, the other versions don't even send you any advertisement
