Anyone else taking reglan/ nausea medicine during pregnancy?

I couldn't drink or eat for 3 days straight so i want to the E.R. and they put me on reglan. I'm nervous about taking it while i'm pregnant but at the same time i don't know if it's worse not to eat and drink. Do you think this stuff is really safe for baby?

yes my daughter is 25 weeks pregnant and was put on reglan at 8 weeks she also has an inflamed gallbladder.

I took reglan and it is perfectly safe. I had the worst morning sickness for the first 5 months and I lost 22lbs. My doctor prescribed reglan and I was actually able to eat. Trust me it is very important that you eat and drink and after taking the medicine you will feel so much better.

At that point, they have to consider your safety. If you're seriously ill, you can't deliver a healthy baby, right?? If it was that bad, they wouldn't have given it, but at times like that, they weight the pros and cons and feel that it's for the best outcome. I've been given meds that weren't safe during pregnancy for the same reason. But I have 3 healthy babies! Don't stress, it will probably be ok.

I have heard it to be safe during pregnancy. I think pregnancy category B. Women use it sometimes while nursing to increase milk supply too. Although if the side effects are bad, talk w/ your doctor about using something different.

I took it, it doesnt hurt the baby. The dr knows that its better to use it if needed then to leave the symptoms untreated.

Relax, they would not gave given it to you if it was not safe. I had morning sickness real bad too, and I was given phenegram(?) but I couldn't even keep that down!!!
