I.Q. testing is subjective and pretty much meaningless. I know a person on YA who has been tested several times and been told he is a genius. He will tell you hat it is all hog-wash.

By the sounds of your english above that is a little too high. If you answer the following I will tell you what you IQ is, using only 5 questions which you can answer using your Add Details icon. Answer whatever comes into your head whether it be yes, no or a specific response. Here is the first question, What chemical element has the atomic number of 79? Question two, What goes up a hill with three legs and comes down a hill with four? Question 3 Here is a list of theories, which name do you not include with the listings. Theories, gravity, relativity, water displacement. Which name does not fit, Einstein, Cure', Archimedes, Galileo? Question 4 What American President championed the cause of Abolition of the slave trade? Question 5 What do these letters represent in mathematics BEDMAS? By answering all of the above correctly with no mistakes and with no help from a computer your IQ is 145 or over, with one error it is 125 or over to 144, with two errors it is 110 to 124, with three errors it is 95 to 109, with four errors it is 80 to 94 and with all five incorrect it is pending a retest but under 79. Where does your 114 fit in? You must answer all correct but two. Good luck, I will post the answers tomorrow as an edit to this response. Good luck.

That is slightly above average, which is 100, with a standard deviation of 25 points. Genius is 140+. Don't think too much about it though: IQ tests are relatively unreliable, and don't measure our personalities well. Some psychologists are talking about ditching IQ altogether. Far more important are things called EIQ (emotional IQ), and GAF, global adaptive functioning. A person with a high EIQ can understand people, seeing into their personalites with little effort. This is VERY valuable for getting along in life! GAF is, in my opinion, the most important. It measures how well you are able to move around your environment and function in everyday life. I have a relatively high IQ, but a low GAF, I have a hard time taking proper care of myself on my own (mental illness). I would trade half my IQ points to be able to live like a reasonable, responsible person. I once met a "certified genius" (she reminded us of that a LOT), and she had the lowest EIQ and GAF I had ever seen!!! She was rude, self-centered, and practically didn't acknowledge the existence of others. In my opinion, the most important thing is how kind a person is, that trumps everything, I think. Hope that helps!

100 is the definition of average in IQ. having a high or low IQ is not good nor bad - it just is. With modern study systems ones abilities can be greatly boosted. So what was once thought of as an innate superior/inferior measure is now superseded.

In reality, IQ tests are very arbitrary and can vary from exam to exam. There is no true measurement that is consistent from person to person and time to time
