how do i find out where my msn messanger is coming from?

i loaded msn messanger a while ago but it signs me in automatically and it dosent come up with anything its just the contacts responding to me. please help its very annoying.

To deactivate automatic sign in:

Launch Msn
Go to option
Go to the general tab
Remove the tick from launch Msn on start up and automatic sign in

As for the later part of your question could you please rephrase it as it is confusing and makes very little sense.

I think you mean if you want to talk to contacts you simply click on the name.

I think ur problem is,

when u start PC ur msn messenger auto sign in, but doesn't show any window and even its doesn't have any icon on system tray. so u can't access it. but when any contact form ur list sign in that pop up. they think u r online but u cant reply to them.

if this is the problem, then

probably ur using older version of msn messenger, and

its "allow windows messenger run in the background" option, and

"run windows messenger when windows starts" r enabled. 2 disable it,

run that messenger from start menu, or go 2-
C:\Program Files\Messenger, and run it,
then from messenger window, go 2-

tools menu, then click option, then click preferences tab. here-

uncheck- "allow windows messenger run in the background", then ok, this will prevent ur messenger from hiding, if u want 2 disable autologon too, then

uncheck "run windows messenger when windows starts".

it better to download and install newer version, hope that will help u.
