I want to become a serious journalist and work for "glamour" magazine when i grow up, do they make good money?

Depends on the magazine and whether you're on staff as a permanent writer or as a freelancer.

However as my editor has said numerous times , if you're going into journalism to make alot of money, then this is NOT the profession for you.

Take a look at the annual editorial salary survey at www.foliomag.com to get an idea. Starting salaries are low, and they rise slowly.

Editors make good money compared to, say, data entry clerks but not compared to engineers or accountants.

if they are good they make great money but very long hour to work!!!
