The GOP was sunk back in the days of Richard (I am not a crook) Nixon with the Watergate Scandal and illegal actions that Nixon orchestrated.
It sunk to new lows under Ronald (I don't recall) Reagan with his Contragate scandal and illegal trading arms for hostages that Reagan orchestrated.
It sunk to even newer lows under George Herbert (Read my lips) Walker Bush with his taxes on Social Security plans that he orchestrated.
Now, under George (It's all Clinton's fault) Walker Bush the GOP has sunk to lows that the Nazis didn't even sink to during WWII, thanks to heroes like F.D.R. and Harry (The buck stops here) Truman.
The GOP may never bounce back up but at least they are right where they belong.
With the rest of the pigs at the trough.

the merely accurate Goldwater/Reagan conservative, Pat Buchanan, become so pissed off with Bush's neoconservative time table that he felt that he had to leave the celebration. immediately from Pat's information superhighway web site: "united statesa. is being bankrupted via a bloated federal forms that now squanders extra of our tax funds than at any element in our u . s .'s historic previous. we are an over- regulated, over-taxed, and over-ruled society. very last year, fifty 3 federal agencies and 127,000 federal workers spent over $17 billion of our tax funds writing and implementing federal guidelines. that is time to end this regulatory reign of terror via remaining inefficient agencies, restructuring federal departments, and making the funds procedure extra in charge." "even as the Republican celebration today controls the White homestead and Congress, how stands conservatism, utilising Reagan-Helms because the astounding? On tax cuts, a fantastic nationwide protection and the nomination of federal judges who believe united statesa. is a republic the position the people rule via elected representatives, no longer a judicial dictatorship, George W. Bush meets the astounding. yet on spending, Bush and Congress do no longer even meet the Clinton established. They qualify as tremendous Society Conservatives. The Republican Revolution of 1994 became out like that vaunted leading edge we released after Sputnik that were given 4 ft off the floor. " And certain, even this: "for this reason on loose commerce, immigration and the warfare, all significant themes, conservatism is a house divided. John McCain and Rudy Giuliani, the most ideal applicants to prevail Bush, stand with him on all 3, although the rustic stands antagonistic to all 3, on all 3 themes. The very last most suitable wish of the GOP in 2008 is – as continually – the Democrats." playstation -- Whoever gave me a thumbs-down ought to no longer be a real conservative, then.

It completely blows me away. There is so much evidence that PROVES that our current administration is corrupt. Why haven't the conservatives mentioned all the billions of dollars that were left on pallets in Iraq? Because conservatives don't have a good answer. They are parrots for Limbaugh and Hannity.
If Bush is so good for their party, why are people (including high ranking military officers) deserting him? It takes an open mind to recognize and admit when we are being screwed over.

They didn't notice the rats swimming away.
They convinced themselves that those few bumps they felt couldn't have been bad enough to damage the ship.
A few noticed the water was closer to the deck, but they figured the tide must just be high.
Now they're trying to figure out how to blame the liberal media for their wet shoes and ankles.
Soon enough they'll be mystified that the very people to whom they made all those donations already sailed off in the few lifeboats that were seaworthy.

Back when the GOP earned the White House and congress both, the big question was whether the Democrats realized they had shot themselves in the foot, and whether their party would survive. Now it's the Republicans. In the long run, it's a cycle.

All the real conservatives left for the libertarian party. The ones left are so far off the traditional boat they don't understand what Republican means anymore. Used to mean small government. Now they want to tell people who they can and can't marry, what women can or can't do to their body, and what religion to believe in. That's BIG social government.

oh, so you believe it, therefore it MUST be true, right? What you have stated is simply your opinion. According to whose standards has he inflicted damage on the party? Your liberal standards? Anything he does, you are against, so bottom line, your opinion really means nothing.
