Yes I fell in love as a matter of fact with the most amazing, beautiful, and wonderful woman in the world. I answered one of her questions and then she contacted me and we started emailing each other and developed a bond of friendship and mutual admiration. We found out that we both have a love for music and we are also compatible in other ways too. Soon after, she called and when I heard her voice I was smitten! We knew we were meant for each other and have since met each other several times. It's as if we have known each other all our lives and is a real true and unconditional love. We will now spend the rest of our days together with a love that will last forever!

Yes and I never would have thought it could happen. I met my true love here on Yahoo questions--we emailed, started calling each other , fell in love before we even met -- and when we did meet it was instant -- chemistry , love , passion -- we have it all. Starting out emailing and calling a lot first gave us time to develop first a friendship and we got to know a lot about each other for a while before we met.
And --
We will be spending the rest of our lives together.

No I never have & I never will because I have a husband anyway & I'm not looking
But I know it can happen because I know of 3 couples where it has happened
2 have even married & the other couple are living together so its really just lucky the chemistry was there I would say because without that it would fizzle out wouldn't it?

Well, you got some pretty good feedback. Some of these answers were fairly good. I like what the girl above me said (please forgive me for not getting your name.)
So please allow me to add my two cents worth.
I personally would not take the chance of dating someone I met thru the internet.
Interenet dating is very risky behaivour. You take the chance of meeting someone who is not all they said they were. You should be very, very careful when doing this.
I've heard thru the grapevine and from paying attention to the news, that someone will go off to meet someone from the interent and never return because they turned out to be a predator.
If you insist on dating thru the internet, here are some tips to keep you safe:
1) Tell people you know that you have met someone thru internet dating. Give his/her name, where they are from and a description of that person. Be as descriptive as you can. Remember, this is YOUR safety we're talking about here! Give height, weight, age, body type, eye/hair/skin color, ethnic background, length of hair, any identifying marks on body ie, tatoos, peircings, scars.
2)If a picture is sent thru e-mail, keep a copy in your records and show everyone you know. If something happens to you, not only will your friends know wat that person looks like, but the police can trace where the picture was sent from.
3) Meet this person in a public place with at least one friend or family member. Make it a group date. Do something fun that all can enjoy.
4) NEVER agree to meet someone after dark in a secluded place. You are just asking for trouble! Ask for a lunch date. On a weekend. There is so much to do on weekend days.
5) NEVER give your personal identifying information to someone over the internet without meeting them first. If you have kids, keep their personal identity to yourself. A simple "Yes, I have kids." should suffice until you meet in person. If they ask too many questions about your kids, ask them why they are asking all these questions. This will throw a predator off and they will most likely back off.
5) NEVER be afraid to say, "No, I'm not ready to give that information yet." No, I'm not ready to do that yet."
NEVER, EVER, EVER send sexually explicit photos of yourself to ANYONE over the internet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6) Allow access to a simple head shot of yourelf in the beginning. Give it some time before you jump in all willy nilly with to many photos. You could be encouraging a stalker. BE CAREFUL!!
Use your common sense. If something sounds a little fishy, like,
"Oh, I just happened to be in your area and thought I'd ask if you'd like to go have a drink. How does 8pm at ... bar sound?"
Say, "No, I can't tonight. I have plans." Leave it at that. You don't have to give more details if you're not comfortable.
This is the best advice I can give you. Good luck!!

No, because you're not actually falling for "that person".
You're falling for whoever they are saying they are, which could mean that they're the 14-year-old famous actor they're pretending to be or a 45-year-old man on crack.
So, in reality, you're only falling in love with the person that you assume is there. Not the actually person. Therefore, until you actually meet them, you can't be in love with the actual person.

no, b/c you have no idea who they are, like a person who says that they are 21, could actually be a 40 year old.
never trust anybody on the internet unless you are sure that you know them.
