If you can, apply heat for about 10-15 minutes, then do some light stretches. if it is real sore after this, apply ice to it for about 10 minutes. The heat will allow blood flow to the affected area, and the stretching should help ease the pain by stretching out the muscle, and the ice is to reduce inflammation if you've over done it. Good luck!

It will heal...try heat (warm towel, hot shower, hot water bottle, heating pad) it will help a lot. And next time, go to a different massage therapist - you should not be in pain.

Try a heating pad and some ibuprofen. It will get better in a couple of days. They were probably stress trigger points that she got out of your neck.
