Honest and caring are character traits, not personality traits. Character traits have to do with specific behavior patterns for right and effective behavior. Other character traits - courage, mental toughness, effort, patience, persistence, loyalty.
Personality traits are trends or patterns of thought. Depending on the theory, they have different names...

I had to write a paper on my personality when I was taking Personality Psychology. It was really tough to find personality trait lists, I looked all over the place!
Raymond Cattell came up with a very complicated and long list of personality traits and factors, which he generated from tons of scientific research. This link includes a list of some of the traits which he came up with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/16_Personality_Factors
If you are looking to describe yourself as unique, it is best to think about how you act in certain situations, things that you do which your friends tease you about, and things which you and your family members do which are a little odd. I, for example, am overly apologetic even for things which do not require apology, and my sister and I both make fun of people a lot but only people who we like. So, asking your family and friends is also a good resource :)

There are way too many personality traits. Some traits can be very complex too. There are narcissists, the God complex type. And, there is the personality who is very gullible and naive. There are very emotional people and of course you can not leave out the ones who are shy. There are quite too many traits to list because we are all unique. Too me everyone has a special personality which is unique.
