we have spent so much money on them already that just about
now I am numb.....no change in sight.....
In the end there will be no change, only more death and
destruction.
edit: bring our troops home and let the Iraq's settle their own
problems.......

I think that right around the end of 2008 / beginning of 2009 the last of the US troops will come home from Iraq just in time for newly elected Hillary Clinton to take all the credit. Iraq will then turn into a civil war between the sunnis and the shittes while a weak and powerless Iraqi government insists to the world that it has everything under control. Iraq will continue to be one of the most hostile and dangerous places in the world to live until another dictator rises up to take control of the country and rule the people with an iron fist to keep them in check. As long as he's friendly towards the US, then the US will support him. Even more so if he's a sworn enemy of the Iranians! And within the next 20 years, we'll be right back where we were in 1981!

The governments come and go, as do the hostilities. The land and the people will remain and eventually things will settle down. The goat farmers will be the first noticeable example that things are returning to normal. The fruit stands, the fish marketeers, the vegetable vendors, the prayer rugs will all become more and more visible. The suicide bombers will stop applying their trade ! The Americans and Iranians will go home, and democracy will finally pervail !
Three provinces will exist and the central government will agree to revenue sharing . As it appears now, this is the only way these people will resolve their problems.

No one can really tell, but based on recent history they will continue to have an elected government, and continue to have terrorists attacking innocent people on a regular basis--much like the way life is in Israel.

Watch this and do your prediction. I think, we can assume it won't be pretty, despite what some say. History is repeating itself.

Once George W. Bush is out of office, and our American troops are pulled out, they will live in peace, and hate Americans forever.
