People will always find evidence to back up their own agendas. unfortunately this works both ways. religious people don't necessarily ignore science, and scientists results often reflect their original hypothesis, because they can manipulate the figures. every generation has a brilliant mind, that to some degree disproves what has already been proved. Copernicus, newton, Einstein, hawking. because as long as there are fundamental rules someone will want to prove that on some scale they don't work.

You need to find a pure religion and compare it to a pure science. Then you'll have your true evidence.
