If you're wife is fighting you for custody of the children, then her not showing up for 3-weeks isn't helping her case! You can argue that she has ABANDONED her family, which it would appear she actually has. I feel very sorry for your children. No excuse you give them is going to make them feel better as to why mommy left and hasn't tried to see them.

Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) is a mental disorder that a parent does when that parent is intent on leaving a relationship and tries to force the kids to dislike the other parent through open communication in front of you and sidebar communication with the kids behind your back. Document all this negative communication and bring it to court with you when you go.

Her missing her visitation for 3 straight weeks is a sure plus for your case. Do not use this information the way she would if you didn't visit. Be kind when speaking of the children's mother in front of the judge and others. You already know what she is and you have no reason to rub it in except to lose your court advantage.

Good luck, and be good to those kids.

It depends on why she hasn't seen them. I have been through a divorce with two children and never heard of CAFCASS until you mentioned it here and I looked it up. Every state has different rules and ideas. My ex husband only comes once every few months. He once went six months without seeing them, but the court said he could still come. I am sure in other states it's stricter than in Washington state. Good luck.

It depends on where you live. At the very least, maybe you can get supervised visitation. Although, it doesn't sound as though she gives a d*mn since she has abandoned them for a boyfriend. Your children and you will be so much better off without her. You should talk to a family lawyer who is familiar with your local laws. You should have no problem getting full custody. Best wishes to you and your children.

I don't know what cafcass is but what a shame for those poor kids....can't imagine any mother not wanting to be with her children. Take good care of them, love them, don't talk badly about their mother to them, and just be a good dad...I applaud you for putting them first...good luck
