I'm not blaming everyone on either side. But why do some people of both parties leaders, media, and average joes, have to resort to hate speech and screaming to try and get their point across. This is not how our country was meant to be.

I know the two parties have different views but time and time again in our history both parties have worked together to resolve major issues in our country. What is different now?

Because most of them are ignorant or at the least uninformed about the issues so all they have to fall back on is name calling and yelling.

The two-party system triggers primitive parts of the brain and invokes the "Us Versus Them" instinct. This instinct was useful when it was necessary for survival (millions of years ago), but in the modern world it causes all the animosity and insults that you see on the media. It's related to the way rival fans behave towards each other at sporting events, and is the root of racism as well.

This is called "A contrived exhibition". There is no hatred between the 2 parties. Neither one is there to represent the American people. As long as there are enough naive people falling for their little schtick there will be no one representing the general population. They abuse us , constitutional law and any and all rights we have , do anything they want to anyone they want and we sit by and let them do it. It's gonna get REAL here soon.

Personally, I feel the reason is that we have not learned how to listen. We all want the same things from life, and for each other for that matter, but we disagree on how to get there. When we speak and are not heard, or our oppinions not respected, we get hurt and angry. That starts the whole cycle of bickering and negativity. It is vital that we all have different oppinions, but when our inability to listen to each other stops us from moving forward or being effective, we all lose.

The different parties represent a way of life, just like the different kinds of government.

Its easy to understand ,if you are a logical person, the leaders
encourage it. Its just a show to keep people distracted, because
if you paid close attention. You would realize, we don't need them,to tell us how to spend our money. Tell us we have to support deadbeats who cross our borders illegally or keep Katrina refugees, in Hotels with room service for years.. Yet if they keep us fighting each other, they can keep doing anything they want.

When people do not have the facts and reasoned thought to back up their opinions, they resort to personal attacks.

It has always been my contention, that during a debate the first one to raise his voice, start calling names or use vulgarity is usually the one that ran out of ideas first.
