What are some of the things we could/should do to stop child sexual abuse and why? Answers can concern any society's levels: the governmental level, legal, individual and more.
I know this is a tough and broad question. In advance, I am grateful to each of you who will answer this topic.

1- Education: teach kids what's ok and not ok. Empower them to talk about it and to just plain say no.
2-Ressources: safe places for kid to talk, therapy must be free and available for victims.
3- THERAPY : because most of the offenders were victims. The whole point would be to break the cycle and to offer real support.

I say once you are convicted beyond a reasonable doubt, i.e. eye witnesses, DNA...you should be put to death. Is it not cruel and unusual to turn these animals back out on small children? If a dog bites you, they kill it. If a bear attacks, you kill it. If a pedofile abuses your children, you should kill it without recourse. This will stop the cycle. Look at Chris Hansens show. They are getting some of the same guys showing up again and again!!!

I don't think you can look at a person and tell if he is a child abuser. However, in my opinion, once he/she has abused a child, he/she should be locked away for life - no chance of parole.
Pedophilia is NOT curable. As long as they remain in our society, they will prey on children. So lock 'em up and throw away the key. He/she will never offend again. Problem solved!

Until the government gets serious about crimes against children, nothing will happen. The very fact that predators do not get jail time, or get very little, is a joke.
I think Capital Punishment would be the appropriate action to take.

Tougher prison sentences, preferably life. Rehabilitation with such a serious offense makes a mockey of justice.

as long as there are humans there will always be pedophiles and they will continue to molest...Society can only deal with it one case at a time....I do believe it when they say a pervert cannot be rehabilitated so therefore, all proven perverts should be executed to prevent any future acts on a child.....thank you
