How can people believe this show? This show is completely scripted. All the children are professional actors. Don't believe me? Check www.imdb.com and you'll see that not one of these children are genuine. That little girl Laura plays the young Keira Knightley in the jacket and has a recurring role on Without a Trace. The other kids have similar experience. I'll bet all the contestants are scripted actors as well. What a stupid show.

i thought the same and i thought that all the contestants were picked soley on how dumb they were rather than actually pick people who would easily get all these questions right. sigh,...tv has hit yet another all time low

No doubt! Most children who appear on television are quite scripted.
They need to have verifiable children from verifiable schools with their teachers appear on these shows to promote our schools in America. If a class or REAL students and their teacher come to perform in the show with no prior knowledge of the questions, the results would be quite different, I'm sure.
Jeff needs to make sure the students are all enrolled in either a private or public school and that several members of the same class are appearing at the same time. Professional actors don't usually go to school but have private tutors. That's not fair, is it?
I haven't seen the show yet so can't verify if what you say is true but if it is, it isn't a very good selection of students and Fifth Graders.

I dont think its totally scripted...its like a little reality/scripted game. The people who go on the show..go with the intention to have a 5th grader answer some of the questions. And i don't feel like..the director tells them what to do next...its all about "personal choice". to basically have fun, some of the questions are pretty puzzling though.

When you start to see people you grew up with who are trying to get their acting careers up and running on show after reality after game show, you start to kind of go, ya know? Hollywood really is just Hollywood through and through - - what a pile of bollocks. (He he he! I always wanted to call something a pile of bollocks. Now I have.)
