They already did.
Ocarina of Time: Master Quest for Gamecube
(a gift for pre-ordering Windwaker)

The graphics weren't exactly enhanced, but they did add
harder enemies and confusing dungeons.
If they were to make the graphics up to today's standards,
and maybe put it out as a Wii Title, that would be amazing.

But I think Nintendo is afraid to re-make it.
Like others have said, people could become angry.
It's very easy to mess up classics.
For example, Cinderella. A classic movie.
Then came Cinderella 2. A horrible, horrible thing.

They pretty much already did. If you look at the game "Link to the Past" you will see that it is very close to the same game. Ocarina has better graphics of course and the story line is a little different but the temple's are pretty much the same. In link to the past he gets the three pendants and then goes into the dark world and has a bunch of temples to defeat there. In Ocarina he is a child and has to beat three temples again, then grow up and defeat a bunch of temples again. The side quests and bosses are somewhat different but basically they are the same game. I am a die hard Zelda gamer and any time you have any questions about any of the games just ask. moe123199@yahoo.com . Now tell me this. Wouldn't it be a great idea for a trilogy (MOVIE!) in three parts. I think that would go well. Let's think in relationship to how well LORD OF THE RINGS did. It would be GREAT!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3-d is arguably the terrific video activity ever made. even whilst working on the Nintendo sixty 4's very constrained hardware, it captured the mind's eye and the hearts of game enthusiasts everywhere. Now, this masterpiece has been given a facelift and extremely wonderful 3-d remastering for the Nintendo 3DS. Suffice it to declare that it somewhat is the 1st activity for the 3DS it extremely is nicely worth finding out to purchase a console over.

Well it is a classic and it usually does not bode well to remake classics but I would love to see Microsoft buy the rights on the game and release a new version of the Ocarina of Time. One with new graphics on the standard of Gears of War and bonus hours of gameplay with a new dungeon or so for the hell of it.

Perish the thought!
The fact that how the game looked and felt was one of the biggest points about how popular it became.
Transition to a remake would make the community growl and basically revolt against the game.
People learn to love a game and don't like it changed at all.

It was for the N64 and up to the standards of that console had its limits, yet they tried to make sure that it reached each edge.
The fact that a person could migrate from young to old over and over again was innovative.

Only if they extend it...make it longer...such as, add some more temples. That would be pretty cool.
