Notes on a Scandal was superb. Really do recommend it - Judi Dench is quite creepy.
Freedom Writers looks like a pile of American twaddle.
Can't watch NUmber 23 as Jim Carrey makes me what to poke my own eyes out.

I have only seen 'The Number 23' out of the three on your list and I personally loved this film! I actually thought Jim Carrey played the role really well! There is an excellent twist at the end which i did not see coming at all! Its also fun when watching the film to look for all the subtle '23' references in Walter sparrows (Jim Carrey) life. i would say it's an absolute must see.

Notes On A Scandal is too much like a British soap opera but you do have some strong performances coming from Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett. The film was Oscar nominated too including for Best Actress(Judi Dench, who is always good in any British made or American drama, and is good in any action-adventure flick too not to mention her prowess in comedy) and Best Supporting Actress(Cate Blanchett),and Best Original Screenplay(adopted from the stage play by the same title). I would watched this movie. Its a good one, without all of the lesbian elemental themes that is in this.

Freedom Writers is another good one as well. Hilary Swank gives a stunning performance as a teacher who basically goes out of her way to inspire her students in a tough Los Angeles high school. I would watch this one too.

The one that I would not see is "23". Which is scarier? Having to watch Jim Carrey(who is totally miscast and not does work in suspense films but is better in dramas and comedies)in a suspense thriller or having Joel Schumacher directing it(not that he has destroyed the Batman franchise and now is heading to torture Jim Carrey's career)which to me is an insult to see this happened....Jim Carrey is totally miscast here.

I've only seen Number 23; I loved it. It was a little gory but the plot was very imaginative, although I has my suspicions towards the end. I was very impressed by Jim Carey; he really can do a lot more than manic.
In case you didn't understand ஐ♥@$♥ஐ DA BEST NAME HERE ஐ♥@$♥ஐ's complaint, she was referring to the fact you typed part of the question in capitals. This is regarded as the equivalent of shouting; personally I don't think someone who puts a dozen symbols into her name is in a position to criticise anyone else's judgement.
