I'd say 80% You choose who or what you wanna be. You get to choose if you wanna fight for something if its worth fighting for or to just leave it as it is.

Some things we just cant control. For eg, who knows if we'll get to see tomorrow? & about accidents, as much precaution as we take (for eg: crossing using traffic lights) we could still get hit if its the driver's fault. We never get to choose who we fall in love with. As a result, we sometimes get hurt when its a one sided love affair.

I guess its interesting in a way. You never know what u'll get :)

We are really the masters of our own destiny. Sure circumstances of our past, and things in our present may come into play, but it all boils down to the choices we make.
We do have freedom of choice in all areas of life. One just has to know the consequences of the choice that is made.
Example. Trying to go to college vs going into work force .
In the long run a college education may be able to put you in a higher socio-economical situation or bracket in the future. It will also get you in the door to better career choices. Where as no higher education my keep one in low paying, low income jobs. Where the gap between the haves and have-not is growing.

So make the right choices, try to know or watch the consequences. Have a great life, or a not so great life. It is up to you. When life throws you lemons, make lemonade.

You'll have to be more specific: Is this a predestination question; a child vs parents question; a man vs the government question; a man vs God question....or are you just a control freak?
