Is it normal for fry to be smaller than others,and different colors?The fry that are small are clear,and the big ones are black.Is this normal?They are only a week old.

That can be totally normal and expecially if you have mixed parents. Further, some change color as they age. It really depends on the type of fish, the parents background and many other factors.

I'm guessing Mollies,right? To do the math you need to know the colors of the parents and maybe even the parent's parents. The passage of traits in live-bearing fishes is an interesting study,but can get very complex. Also if you are talking community tank you may be dealing with more than one specie.
