To any of you (numerous) people who have met their husband/wife online first, was there a certain spark you could feel before you two met? Did you think about him/her a lot in the day, like fantasizing, for instance? Are there any tell-tale signs that sorta told you both of you were meant to be?

He's not faceless ... or else I wouldn't feel this way .. haha I mean, I know his friends, he knows mine, I've seen his pictures, he's seen mine, I know they're real pictures, we've been talking for about a year online, and seem to really connect.

You are inlust not inlove... nothing at all wrong with being in-lust... many relationships start that way.. passion is always good

I've met people online but things change when you meet in person. I think what you feel has more to do with the excitement that you have because of the pending meeting. Right now you cna imagine or fantasize this person as the one for you because you still haven't met him. He's still faceless and you're building hope that he is exactly what you want, your type of guy and that makes you excited at the thought of being with him. WHo knows though, it may be something. Careful, and good luck!

Yeah, we did the IMs, then loooong phone talks (10 hours one day!!), the next step was web-cams. Try that--it will really help give a better idea of the person. We just knew, and yes, we thought about each other all the time.

He moved here 2 years ago to be with me---and we married last June!
Good luck to you..........I'm proof that it can work!

Sweetie, I implore you to be careful, every man I met online and even if I spoke to them on the phone that I thought we got along great, loved his thoughts, etc. once I met them the magic was gone because we didn't actually get along. They can write whatever they want and be the smartest, wittiest, most romantic, sweetest, whatever they want but none of that mattered once we met because we didn't enjoy each other's company. So don't put them on a pedestal. Beware. You have to interact in person to find out if you really like him.
