I am a Republican and here is my take on Bill Clinton's presidency. He was a likable, bright and popular man. He had great potential to accomplish something of significance. He squandered all of it to act like some rock star. It was a terrible waste of talent and ability.

I also think he lacked deeply held values of any kind. It was his willingness to go along with whatever the days poling suggested that maintained his popularity but detracted from his leadership. He was never much of a leader he was a consensus taker. Consensus taking is the abdication of leadership. When placed in a position of leadership a person should decide on the best course of action and lead.

This is why he has no legacy other than to be thought of as a rake.

President Bush has made mistakes. But history will decide that he did what needed doing even if it could have been executed better. He was honest and always a gentleman. He never tried to take undue credit nor did he act indecisively. He was always courteous to his political opponents even when they were verbally abusive towards him, his family and his party.

Looks as if you are either sadly mistaken or you are intentionally LYING. Clinton's mistake was not BBLOW JJOBS but it was PERJURY when he lied about them UNDER OATH. That is an impeachable offense because it is a felony. Bush's mistake is just that, a mistake. A mistake that the whole world would have made as most of the world leaders and most of the democrat party leaders (Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Dean and so on) ALSO THOUGHT IRAQ HAD WMDs. So why don't you 0 negative left wing radicals JUST SHUT UP about this? GW is a lame duck president and can not run for office again. What good does the repeating of this propaganda do the left wing fanatics now? Want another mistake to ponder?:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::THIS WILL OPEN YOUR EYES by Paul Harvey

Since your details have nothing to do with your original question:

(1) You are assuming Clinton's worst mistake was his BJ. It wasn't, but the preoccupation with it swept most of his other short commings under the table.
(2) Bush's mistake was not WMD's. We, that is the whole planet, thought Saddam had them. Bush's mistake was how he handled the war in Iraq, particularly after Saddam fell, and his consistant failure to work with allies on a number of world problems.

Now, as to whose mistakes are bigger? I would have to go with Bush. I think he has caused far more harm to America than Clinton did, though I am hardly a Clinton fan either.

You're comparing apples and oranges.

The Clintons.... Whitewater, Castle Grande, those pesky cattle futures, Travelgate, Vince Foster suicide, those law partners, and the " ladies"... Gennifer and Monica. Now, aren't the Clintonistas a swell couple??

Bush.... from the dynasty that still sends the Big Boys to help Bubba ( Iraq Study group)... but he won't listen. 21 months left... who knows what he will do next. Right now, for some unknown reason, he's getting away from Washington pressure and will tour Latin America.

Bush has finished dissimilar issues incorrect yet he has by no potential regarded right into a digicam , took a lawfull oath ,then lied by using his tooth.bill affected me by potential of rather much ruining my small enterprise along with his taxes, whilst Gw got here to place of work i replaced into being taxed at 40 seven%. There is ZERO proof Bush lied.

There is irrefutable evidence Clinton lied under oath.

Bush may have actually made a mistake in relying on bad intel. Clinton, on the other hand, committed a crime he didn't just make a "mistake." I am certain that they teach you in law school that you can't lie when you are under oath. Clinton made a calculated choice and his choice should not be characterized as a "mistake".

Getting blown in the White House or Blowing it for the White House?
Dropping Bombs in Kosovo, or losing them in Iraq?
Passing the 3 strikes law, or using the Supreme Court to determine the legitimacy of Daryl Strawberry's third strike out?

It would seem to me with all of these parallels we should just learn to laugh... And they do have WMD's they've probably passed them on by now, but we know they do, b/c we made them, and gave them to Iraq. Specifically Saddam back when we were his friend. The USA is the most feared and well-armed repo-man in the world. Get some....back!

When Clinton screwed up and lied to a grand Jury, it did not cost America's working class tax payers $2 trillion for Iraq. It also did not cost America over 3100 dead and 140,000 wounded. In Iraq 34,000 civilians died last month alone. Bush and Cheney should be impeached. The real war on Terror is in Afghanistan and Lebanon. Only fools like Bush and Cheney would not know that.

History is showing Clinton laid the groundwork for where we are know. So maybe if he was doing his job instead of BJ's there would be 3000 Americans alive on 9/12.

I guess the cruise missile targeting an empty tent in Afghanistan he thought would scare UBL was all he could think of during his sessions with interns
