That's the average for the college I want to go to. Would that be difficult to obtain? I don't know what a good score is in general. And, don't you get points, for signing your name?

A score of 1190 falls on the 77th percentile, good but not great. If you can find an adequate study guide, it shouldn't be terribly difficult to get. If your score is lower than this, don't despair! Was your writing score good? You can probably ask the admissions department to look at this section as well. Keep in mind that 1191 is only the AVERAGE score, which means that 50% of the people who got into the college of your choice had scores below this.

Colleges are relying less and less upon SAT and ACT scores during admission. Volunteer and other extracurricular activity also hold weight with the admissions department, so become active in your community! One test will not usually determine whether you are admitted or not.

I'm not sure what you mean by getting points to sign your name.

that's not very hard at all, and no, you don't get points for signing your name, that's just stupid. you have to actually take the test but if you happen to miss every question your minimum score will still be 200 out of 800. btw, a 1191 is only about 150-200 points above average and schools consider more than sat scores anyway so i wouldn't worry.
