Well, every 4 years we have these things known as elections.... Or are you not from the US? If you need coups advice, might want to check with Yahoo! Thailand or whatever.

!.A list of charges is drawn up and supported by 1/4 of the total members of the house (lok or rajya sabha) in whichit is moved.

2.such a resolution must be passed by 2/3 majority of the house.

3.Then the charges levelled against are looked into and investigated by the other house.At this stage the PRESIDENT may appear in person before the investigating house to defend himself .He can also get defended himself by a council.

4.If the charges are approved by 2/3 of the total majority of that house,the impeachment is finalised and the president is overthrown

It has never happened in America, so there is no answer to this.

In america, there is a procedure to impeach a president, but that is quite different from overthrowing a President, which suggests a coup or assasination.

Presidents get elected or not....Overthrowing a president is overthrowing the government...Thats a tough and risky endeavor
