i agree with the people saying hopefully never....while i loved all three of the movies and bought the trilogy DVD set when it came out, i think that the third movie was a bit of a stretch and they were a little desperate for material....to make a fourth would tarnish the back to the future story....you should stop while you're ahead instead of continuing to make sequels even when you run out of ideas...the same mistake often happens with TV series....shows going strong, going strong, but then the writers start to run out of ideas, and no one will say "hey! let's stop while we're ahead instead of running ourselves into the ground!!" this is what "cheers" did....this is NOT was "roseanne" did....was a great series, but the last season or so was just awful. i dont want to see this happen to back to the future too!

Hopefully never. I mean I'm sorry, but Michael J. Fox was already way too old for the part (he was 24 in 1985 when the first was released) so I dont think it's likely that anybody would believe that a 45 year old man is 17.

hopefully never, it would be the biggest flop of all time...plus what would it be about, Michael J Fox going to the future to find the cure for Parkinson's? Plus isnt "Doc" in a nursing home by now? Or, what would be even worse is that they use all new characters all together like they did on Home ALone 3 (i know, poor comparison, but proves my point)

Never, in the end of Back to the Future 3, they said "The End" Its a great trilogy and doesn't need to be ruined by #4

probably never.

in 1999 they were workin on a 4-5 and then Fox retires.
there were rumors of a recast but after all these years doubt it.

in 1995 there was a 4 in the works but when a crazzy old man set fire to the downtown set they didnt finish rebuilding it before the company dropped the movie.

I've not heard of a chapter 4. It was a classic trilogy that should be left alone. Having said that, I just stumbled across this on You Tube...Brokeback to the Future...funny!

Never, Micheal J. Fox is too old and unfortunately I don't think that his health would allow him to star in a major role in a motion picture any longer... just enjoy the three movies that were made.
