3-3-5 ?? Thats 11 ! You're including the goalkeeper ? Are you sure you dont actually mean 3-3-4, which is a fairly common formation. But I cant think of any professional team who would ever risk playing with five forwards and only two defenders.
Personally, though, I'm always happiest with 4-4-2. Attacking football is best done by building from the back and going forward that way.

you may mean 5-3-2, or maybe 3-5-2,
anyway in modern football it is not very important any more wether the system is 4-4-2 or 3-5-2, because the sqauds are going to be arranged dynamic more and more,
players have to change their position in different situation, the most simple one is to devide play time into two separate parts, when the team has the ball, when the opponent has the ball, in these two situations teams and players have different roles.
finaly, i dont like the linear deffense system in 4-4-2 although i love it's inventor (Beckenbaeur)

the 1 has to be someone like zidane nedved etc
excellent defence and a really good midfield specially 1 defensive midfield.
and an attack like del piero or treze gol
