Sex CAN (not must) be a way in which people can share the closeness they feel emotionally. It can promote greater connections through mutual physical release and spiritual bonding.
People who are in love often want to become as physically close as possible.
Sex also has other dimensions, and it depends on the habits one develops how you express yourself sexually. For some people, sex becomes primarily a recreational activity, a hormonally motivated physical exercise, or a way of earning a living.
However, most people long for the physicality of sex interwoven with the emotional ties of love.

Sex is NOT necessary in love. We commonly use it as an expression of love, but we also have Platonic relationships and NSA sex. I've lived with my ex for years now and we haven't had sex since 2004. But I'll move the earth for her because we love each other and can trust each other implicitly.

it's not.. there are many different types of love.. you can love a friend or a parent and there won't be anything sexual there..
