Defensive slides!! Alot of them, until your legs burn so bad you cant do it anymore...Make sure you stay low and keep your back straight. You want your arms out, in the position with your thumbs pointing upward... Jumping rope might help your reaction time and your jumping ability. If you can get a friend or someone to help you, you need to work on boxing out strong. Make sure you keep them on your buut/back but dont hold on them. Practice denying the ball in the high and low positions. Also rebounds...get a concrete/ brick wall, or at a sturdy backboard and practice bouncing it off then jumping and hitting it off again before you land. That will help tremendously. Just practice staying low at all times and it will help a lot. I hope all that helps..if you have any more questions---eamil at BMSLadyTigerBasketball42@yahoo.com

Work on your off hand, dribble with your head up, be a leader,
most importantly, keep you turnovers down.

suicides....here's why.
they make you fast.
then try lateral suicides (side to side instead of to and fro)... here's why...
they make you fast laterally.
then i would say lift a little weight to gain strength...here's why..
it'll be harder for people to post you up, or to block you out of the paint.
good luck
